Alpha-bisabolol is a monocyclic sesquiterpene alcohol that is one of two isomers, the other being beta-bisabolol, and has two enantiomers. L-alpha-bisabolol is also commonly known as Levomenol, while D-alpha-bisabolol is rarer. It is commonly used in cosmetics for its soothing properties and ability to enhance transdermal absorption. Alpha-bisabolol is mainly studied for its skin health properties.
